A curated list of practical Codex skills for automating workflows across the Codex CLI and API.
> **Want skills that do more than generate text?** Codex can send emails, create issues, post to Slack, and take actions across 1000+ apps. [See how →](./connect/)

## Quickstart: Add Skills to Codex
### Install with the Skill Installer (recommended)
```bash
git clone https://github.com/ComposioHQ/awesome-codex-skills.git
cd awesome-codex-skills
# Install one or more skills into $CODEX_HOME/skills (defaults to ~/.codex/skills)
python skill-installer/scripts/install-skill-from-github.py --repo ComposioHQ/awesome-codex-skills --path meeting-notes-and-actions
```
The installer fetches the skill and places it in `$CODEX_HOME/skills/<skill-name>`. Restart Codex to pick up new skills.
### Manual install
1. Copy the desired skill folder (e.g., `./spreadsheet-formula-helper`) into `$CODEX_HOME/skills/` (defaults to `~/.codex/skills/`).
2. Restart Codex so it loads the new metadata.
3. In your next session, describe the task or mention the skill name; Codex will trigger matching skills based on their `description` frontmatter.

## What Are Codex Skills?
Codex skills are modular instruction bundles that tell Codex how to execute a task the way you want it done. Each skill lives in its own folder with a `SKILL.md` that includes metadata (name + description) and step-by-step guidance. Codex reads the metadata to decide when to trigger a skill and loads the body only after it fires, keeping context lean.
## Skills

## Using Skills in Codex
- Skills live in `$CODEX_HOME/skills` (default `~/.codex/skills`). Each subfolder needs a `SKILL.md` with `name` and `description` frontmatter.
- After installing or updating a skill, restart Codex so it reloads metadata.
- In a session, describe the task naturally; Codex auto-triggers skills whose descriptions match the request. You can also mention a skill by name if you want it considered.
- To verify installation, list installed skills (`ls ~/.codex/skills`) and inspect metadata (`head ~/.codex/skills/<skill>/SKILL.md`).
## Creating Skills
Skill layout:
```
skill-name/
├── SKILL.md # Required: instructions + YAML frontmatter
├── scripts/ # Optional: helper scripts for deterministic steps
├── references/ # Optional: long-form docs loaded only when needed
└── assets/ # Optional: templates or files used in outputs
```
Basic SKILL.md template:
```markdown
---
name: my-skill-name
description: What the skill does and when Codex should use it.
---
# My Skill Name
Clear instructions and steps for Codex to execute the task.
```
Best practices:
- Keep the `description` exhaustive about when to trigger; keep the body focused on execution steps.
- Use progressive disclosure: put detailed references in `references/` and call them out from `SKILL.md` only when needed.
- Include scripts for repeatable or deterministic operations; mention when Codex should run them.
- Avoid extra docs (README, changelog) inside the skill folder to keep context lean.
## Contributing
PRs welcome. Add real, reusable skills, keep descriptions precise, and include any needed scripts or references. If you add new skills, ensure the `description` clearly states when Codex should trigger and test that metadata fits within context limits.

description: Build, validate, and troubleshoot deep links for Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Visual Studio, and similar tools. Use when users ask for clickable links (especially in Slack) that open threads, files, folders, or app settings.

# Agent Deep Links
## Overview
Use this skill when a user asks for clickable links that should open directly in an app (usually from Slack). This includes verifying whether a target app supports deep links at all, selecting the right URL shape, and providing fallbacks when deep links are unsupported.
## Workflow
1. Identify target app + target object:
- Thread/conversation
- File/folder
- Settings/new window
2. Read `references/deep-link-matrix.md` for known-good link formats and support level.
3. If support is unknown, verify locally before sending:
- Check URL schemes in the app bundle:
```bash
/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c 'Print :CFBundleURLTypes' /Applications/<App>.app/Contents/Info.plist
```
- Smoke test launch behavior:
```bash
open '<scheme>://...'
```
4. Construct Slack-safe link syntax:
- `<url|label>`
5. If unsupported or uncertain, send a fallback:
- Plain path + command
- Documented CLI open command
- Statement that no official deep-link format is known
## Output Rules
- Prefer absolute paths for file/folder links.
- Keep labels short and action-oriented (`Open in Cursor`, `Open in Codex`).
- Do not claim deep-link support unless it is in the matrix or just verified.
- For uncertain app routes, clearly mark as inferred/experimental.
## Common Templates
- Codex thread:
- `<codex://threads/<thread-uuid>|Open in Codex>`
- Cursor file:
- `<cursor://file/<absolute-path>:<line>:<column>|Open in Cursor>`
- VS Code file:
- `<vscode://file/<absolute-path>:<line>:<column>|Open in VS Code>`
- VS Code Insiders file:
- `<vscode-insiders://file/<absolute-path>:<line>:<column>|Open in VS Code Insiders>`
Use `references/deep-link-matrix.md` for the full cross-app matrix and support notes.

# Deep Link Matrix
Last updated: 2026-02-10
Scope: practical deep links for agent workflows, especially Slack handoff links.
## Support Levels
- `Supported`: Officially documented and/or repeatedly verified.
- `Partial`: Works for some routes, but route coverage is incomplete.
- `Unknown`: Scheme exists, but route behavior is not clearly documented.
- `Not available`: No known official deep-link format.
## Matrix
| App | Scheme | Support | Known Link Patterns | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Codex Desktop | `codex://` | Supported | `codex://threads/<thread-uuid>`, `codex://threads/new`, `codex://settings` | Good for thread handoff links. |
| Cursor | `cursor://` | Supported | `cursor://file/<absolute-path>:<line>:<column>`, `cursor://file/<absolute-folder-path>/` | Works well for file/folder open links. |
| VS Code | `vscode://` | Supported | `vscode://file/<absolute-path>:<line>:<column>`, `vscode://file/<absolute-folder-path>/` | Requires VS Code installed on clicker machine. |
| VS Code Insiders | `vscode-insiders://` | Supported | `vscode-insiders://file/<absolute-path>:<line>:<column>` | Insiders-specific scheme. |
| Visual Studio (Windows IDE) | n/a | Not available | n/a | Use CLI fallback (`devenv /edit <path>`). |
| Claude Desktop | `claude://` | Unknown | `claude://...` | Scheme registration exists, but stable public route list is unclear. |
| Xcode | `xcode://` | Partial | `xcode://...` | Scheme exists; file-open route details are not well documented. |
| CLI-only agents | n/a | Not available | n/a | No standard clickable deep-link protocol without custom handlers. |
## Slack Format
Slack clickable links must be formatted as:
```text
<url|label>
```
Examples:
- `<codex://threads/123e4567-e89b-12d3-a456-426614174000|Open in Codex>`
- `<cursor://file/<absolute-path>:<line>:<column>|Open in Cursor>`
- `<vscode://file/<absolute-path>:<line>:<column>|Open in VS Code>`
## Verification Commands
Check app schemes:
```bash
/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c 'Print :CFBundleURLTypes' /Applications/<App>.app/Contents/Info.plist
```
Smoke test a deep link:
```bash
open '<scheme>://...'
```
## Fallback Patterns
When no deep link exists:
1. Provide the file path and app command (`devenv /edit`, `code`, etc.).
2. State that no official deep-link format is known.
3. Offer a supported alternative app link when possible.

where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable
by such Contributor that are necessarily infringed by their
Contribution(s) alone or by combination of their Contribution(s)
with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was submitted. If You
institute patent litigation against any entity (including a
cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Work
or a Contribution incorporated within the Work constitutes direct
or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses
granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate
as of the date such litigation is filed.

documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or,
within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and
wherever such third-party notices normally appear. The contents
of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and
do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution
notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside
or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided
that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed
as modifying the License.
You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and
may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,
reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with
the conditions stated in this License.
5. Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise,
any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work
by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of
this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify
the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed
with Licensor regarding such Contributions.
6. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade
names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor,
except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the
origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file.
7. Disclaimer of Warranty. Unless required by applicable law or
agreed to in writing, Licensor provides the Work (and each

liable to You for damages, including any direct, indirect, special,
incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a
result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the
Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill,
work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all
other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor
has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing
the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer,
and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity,
or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this
License. However, in accepting such obligations, You may act only
on Your own behalf and on Your sole responsibility, not on behalf
of any other Contributor, and only if You agree to indemnify,

and distribution as defined by Sections 1 through 9 of this document.
"Licensor" shall mean the copyright owner or entity authorized by
the copyright owner that is granting the License.
"Legal Entity" shall mean the union of the acting entity and all
other entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common
control with that entity. For the purposes of this definition,
"control" means (i) the power, direct or indirect, to cause the
direction or management of such entity, whether by contract or
otherwise, or (ii) ownership of fifty percent (50%) or more of the
outstanding shares, or (iii) beneficial ownership of such entity.
"You" (or "Your") shall mean an individual or Legal Entity
exercising permissions granted by this License.
"Source" form shall mean the preferred form for making modifications,
including but not limited to software source code, documentation
source, and configuration files.
"Object" form shall mean any form resulting from mechanical
transformation or translation of a Source form, including but
not limited to compiled object code, generated documentation,
and conversions to other media types.
"Work" shall mean the work of authorship, whether in Source or
Object form, made available under the License, as indicated by a
copyright notice that is included in or attached to the work
(an example is provided in the Appendix below).
"Derivative Works" shall mean any work, whether in Source or Object
form, that is based on (or derived from) the Work and for which the
editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications
represent, as a whole, an original work of authorship. For the purposes
of this License, Derivative Works shall not include works that remain
separable from, or merely link (or bind by name) to the interfaces of,
the Work and Derivative Works thereof.
"Contribution" shall mean any work of authorship, including
the original version of the Work and any modifications or additions
to that Work or Derivative Works thereof, that is intentionally
submitted to Licensor for inclusion in the Work by the copyright owner
or by an individual or Legal Entity authorized to submit on behalf of
the copyright owner. For the purposes of this definition, "submitted"
means any form of electronic, verbal, or written communication sent
to the Licensor or its representatives, including but not limited to
communication on electronic mailing lists, source code control systems,

excluding communication that is conspicuously marked or otherwise
designated in writing by the copyright owner as "Not a Contribution."
"Contributor" shall mean Licensor and any individual or Legal Entity
on behalf of whom a Contribution has been received by Licensor and
subsequently incorporated within the Work.
2. Grant of Copyright License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
copyright license to reproduce, prepare Derivative Works of,
publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the
Work and such Derivative Works in Source or Object form.
3. Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
(except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made,
use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work,
where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable
by such Contributor that are necessarily infringed by their
Contribution(s) alone or by combination of their Contribution(s)
with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was submitted. If You
institute patent litigation against any entity (including a
cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Work
or a Contribution incorporated within the Work constitutes direct
or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses
granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate
as of the date such litigation is filed.
4. Redistribution. You may reproduce and distribute copies of the
Work or Derivative Works thereof in any medium, with or without
modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You
meet the following conditions:
(a) You must give any other recipients of the Work or
Derivative Works a copy of this License; and
(b) You must cause any modified files to carry prominent notices
stating that You changed the files; and
(c) You must retain, in the Source form of any Derivative Works
that You distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark, and
attribution notices from the Source form of the Work,
excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of
the Derivative Works; and
(d) If the Work includes a "NOTICE" text file as part of its
distribution, then any Derivative Works that You distribute must
include a readable copy of the attribution notices contained
within such NOTICE file, excluding those notices that do not
pertain to any part of the Derivative Works, in at least one
of the following places: within a NOTICE text file distributed
as part of the Derivative Works; within the Source form or
documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or,
within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and
wherever such third-party notices normally appear.
Unless required by applicable law or
agreed to in writing, Licensor provides the Work (and each
Contributor provides its Contributions) on an "AS IS" BASIS,
WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or
implied, including, without limitation, any warranties or conditions
of TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, or FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE. You are solely responsible for determining the
appropriateness of using or redistributing the Work and assume any
risks associated with Your exercise of permissions under this License.
8. Limitation of Liability. In no event and under no legal theory,
whether in tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise,
unless required by applicable law (such as deliberate and grossly
negligent acts) or agreed to in writing, shall any Contributor be
liable to You for damages, including any direct, indirect, special,
incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a
result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the
Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill,
work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all
other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor
has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing
the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer,
and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity,
or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this
License. However, in accepting such obligations, You may act only
on Your own behalf and on Your sole responsibility, not on behalf
of any other Contributor, and only if You agree to indemnify,
defend, and hold each Contributor harmless for any liability
incurred by, or claims asserted against, such Contributor by reason
of your accepting any such warranty or additional liability.

name: canvas-design
description: Create beautiful visual art in .png and .pdf documents using design philosophy. You should use this skill when the user asks to create a poster, piece of art, design, or other static piece. These are instructions for creating design philosophies - aesthetic movements that are then EXPRESSED VISUALLY. Output only .md files, .pdf files, and .png files.
Complete this in two steps:
1. Design Philosophy Creation (.md file)
2. Express by creating it on a canvas (.pdf file or .png file)
First, undertake this task:
## DESIGN PHILOSOPHY CREATION
To begin, create a VISUAL PHILOSOPHY (not layouts or templates) that will be interpreted through:
- Form, space, color, composition
- Images, graphics, shapes, patterns
- Minimal text as visual accent
### THE CRITICAL UNDERSTANDING
- What is received: Some subtle input or instructions by the user that should be taken into account, but used as a foundation; it should not constrain creative freedom.
- What is created: A design philosophy/aesthetic movement.
- What happens next: Then, the same version receives the philosophy and EXPRESSES IT VISUALLY - creating artifacts that are 90% visual design, 10% essential text.
Consider this approach:
- Write a manifesto for an art movement
- The next phase involves making the artwork
The philosophy must emphasize: Visual expression. Spatial communication. Artistic interpretation. Minimal words.
### HOW TO GENERATE A VISUAL PHILOSOPHY
**Name the movement** (1-2 words): "Brutalist Joy" / "Chromatic Silence" / "Metabolist Dreams"
**Articulate the philosophy** (4-6 paragraphs - concise but complete):
To capture the VISUAL essence, express how the philosophy manifests through:
- Space and form
- Color and material
- Scale and rhythm
- Composition and balance
- Visual hierarchy
**CRITICAL GUIDELINES:**
- **Avoid redundancy**: Each design aspect should be mentioned once. Avoid repeating points about color theory, spatial relationships, or typographic principles unless adding new depth.
- **Emphasize craftsmanship REPEATEDLY**: The philosophy MUST stress multiple times that the final work should appear as though it took countless hours to create, was labored over with care, and comes from someone at the absolute top of their field. This framing is essential - repeat phrases like "meticulously crafted," "the product of deep expertise," "painstaking attention," "master-level execution."
- **Leave creative space**: Remain specific about the aesthetic direction, but concise enough that the next Claude has room to make interpretive choices also at a extremely high level of craftmanship.
The philosophy must guide the next version to express ideas VISUALLY, not through text. Information lives in design, not paragraphs.
### PHILOSOPHY EXAMPLES
**"Concrete Poetry"**
Philosophy: Communication through monumental form and bold geometry.
Visual expression: Massive color blocks, sculptural typography (huge single words, tiny labels), Brutalist spatial divisions, Polish poster energy meets Le Corbusier. Ideas expressed through visual weight and spatial tension, not explanation. Text as rare, powerful gesture - never paragraphs, only essential words integrated into the visual architecture. Every element placed with the precision of a master craftsman.
**"Chromatic Language"**
Philosophy: Color as the primary information system.
Visual expression: Geometric precision where color zones create meaning. Typography minimal - small sans-serif labels letting chromatic fields communicate. Think Josef Albers' interaction meets data visualization. Information encoded spatially and chromatically. Words only to anchor what color already shows. The result of painstaking chromatic calibration.
**"Analog Meditation"**
Philosophy: Quiet visual contemplation through texture and breathing room.
Visual expression: Paper grain, ink bleeds, vast negative space. Photography and illustration dominate. Typography whispered (small, restrained, serving the visual). Japanese photobook aesthetic. Images breathe across pages. Text appears sparingly - short phrases, never explanatory blocks. Each composition balanced with the care of a meditation practice.
**"Organic Systems"**
Philosophy: Natural clustering and modular growth patterns.
Visual expression: Rounded forms, organic arrangements, color from nature through architecture. Information shown through visual diagrams, spatial relationships, iconography. Text only for key labels floating in space. The composition tells the story through expert spatial orchestration.
**"Geometric Silence"**
Philosophy: Pure order and restraint.
Visual expression: Grid-based precision, bold photography or stark graphics, dramatic negative space. Typography precise but minimal - small essential text, large quiet zones. Swiss formalism meets Brutalist material honesty. Structure communicates, not words. Every alignment the work of countless refinements.
*These are condensed examples. The actual design philosophy should be 4-6 substantial paragraphs.*
### ESSENTIAL PRINCIPLES
- **VISUAL PHILOSOPHY**: Create an aesthetic worldview to be expressed through design
- **MINIMAL TEXT**: Always emphasize that text is sparse, essential-only, integrated as visual element - never lengthy
- **SPATIAL EXPRESSION**: Ideas communicate through space, form, color, composition - not paragraphs
- **ARTISTIC FREEDOM**: The next Claude interprets the philosophy visually - provide creative room
- **PURE DESIGN**: This is about making ART OBJECTS, not documents with decoration
- **EXPERT CRAFTSMANSHIP**: Repeatedly emphasize the final work must look meticulously crafted, labored over with care, the product of countless hours by someone at the top of their field
**The design philosophy should be 4-6 paragraphs long.** Fill it with poetic design philosophy that brings together the core vision. Avoid repeating the same points. Keep the design philosophy generic without mentioning the intention of the art, as if it can be used wherever. Output the design philosophy as a .md file.
---
## DEDUCING THE SUBTLE REFERENCE
**CRITICAL STEP**: Before creating the canvas, identify the subtle conceptual thread from the original request.
**THE ESSENTIAL PRINCIPLE**:
The topic is a **subtle, niche reference embedded within the art itself** - not always literal, always sophisticated. Someone familiar with the subject should feel it intuitively, while others simply experience a masterful abstract composition. The design philosophy provides the aesthetic language. The deduced topic provides the soul - the quiet conceptual DNA woven invisibly into form, color, and composition.
This is **VERY IMPORTANT**: The reference must be refined so it enhances the work's depth without announcing itself. Think like a jazz musician quoting another song - only those who know will catch it, but everyone appreciates the music.
---
## CANVAS CREATION
With both the philosophy and the conceptual framework established, express it on a canvas. Take a moment to gather thoughts and clear the mind. Use the design philosophy created and the instructions below to craft a masterpiece, embodying all aspects of the philosophy with expert craftsmanship.
**IMPORTANT**: For any type of content, even if the user requests something for a movie/game/book, the approach should still be sophisticated. Never lose sight of the idea that this should be art, not something that's cartoony or amateur.
To create museum or magazine quality work, use the design philosophy as the foundation. Create one single page, highly visual, design-forward PDF or PNG output (unless asked for more pages). Generally use repeating patterns and perfect shapes. Treat the abstract philosophical design as if it were a scientific bible, borrowing the visual language of systematic observation—dense accumulation of marks, repeated elements, or layered patterns that build meaning through patient repetition and reward sustained viewing. Add sparse, clinical typography and systematic reference markers that suggest this could be a diagram from an imaginary discipline, treating the invisible subject with the same reverence typically reserved for documenting observable phenomena. Anchor the piece with simple phrase(s) or details positioned subtly, using a limited color palette that feels intentional and cohesive. Embrace the paradox of using analytical visual language to express ideas about human experience: the result should feel like an artifact that proves something ephemeral can be studied, mapped, and understood through careful attention. This is true art.
**Text as a contextual element**: Text is always minimal and visual-first, but let context guide whether that means whisper-quiet labels or bold typographic gestures. A punk venue poster might have larger, more aggressive type than a minimalist ceramics studio identity. Most of the time, font should be thin. All use of fonts must be design-forward and prioritize visual communication. Regardless of text scale, nothing falls off the page and nothing overlaps. Every element must be contained within the canvas boundaries with proper margins. Check carefully that all text, graphics, and visual elements have breathing room and clear separation. This is non-negotiable for professional execution. **IMPORTANT: Use different fonts if writing text. Search the `./canvas-fonts` directory. Regardless of approach, sophistication is non-negotiable.**
Download and use whatever fonts are needed to make this a reality. Get creative by making the typography actually part of the art itself -- if the art is abstract, bring the font onto the canvas, not typeset digitally.
To push boundaries, follow design instinct/intuition while using the philosophy as a guiding principle. Embrace ultimate design freedom and choice. Push aesthetics and design to the frontier.
**CRITICAL**: To achieve human-crafted quality (not AI-generated), create work that looks like it took countless hours. Make it appear as though someone at the absolute top of their field labored over every detail with painstaking care. Ensure the composition, spacing, color choices, typography - everything screams expert-level craftsmanship. Double-check that nothing overlaps, formatting is flawless, every detail perfect. Create something that could be shown to people to prove expertise and rank as undeniably impressive.
Output the final result as a single, downloadable .pdf or .png file, alongside the design philosophy used as a .md file.
---
## FINAL STEP
**IMPORTANT**: The user ALREADY said "It isn't perfect enough. It must be pristine, a masterpiece if craftsmanship, as if it were about to be displayed in a museum."
**CRITICAL**: To refine the work, avoid adding more graphics; instead refine what has been created and make it extremely crisp, respecting the design philosophy and the principles of minimalism entirely. Rather than adding a fun filter or refactoring a font, consider how to make the existing composition more cohesive with the art. If the instinct is to call a new function or draw a new shape, STOP and instead ask: "How can I make what's already here more of a piece of art?"
Take a second pass. Go back to the code and refine/polish further to make this a philosophically designed masterpiece.
## MULTI-PAGE OPTION
To create additional pages when requested, create more creative pages along the same lines as the design philosophy but distinctly different as well. Bundle those pages in the same .pdf or many .pngs. Treat the first page as just a single page in a whole coffee table book waiting to be filled. Make the next pages unique twists and memories of the original. Have them almost tell a story in a very tasteful way. Exercise full creative freedom.

PREAMBLE
The goals of the Open Font License (OFL) are to stimulate worldwide
development of collaborative font projects, to support the font creation
efforts of academic and linguistic communities, and to provide a free and
open framework in which fonts may be shared and improved in partnership
with others.
The OFL allows the licensed fonts to be used, studied, modified and
redistributed freely as long as they are not sold by themselves. The
fonts, including any derivative works, can be bundled, embedded,
redistributed and/or sold with any software provided that any reserved
names are not used by derivative works. The fonts and derivatives,
however, cannot be released under any other type of license. The
requirement for fonts to remain under this license does not apply
to any document created using the fonts or their derivatives.

copyright statement(s).
"Original Version" refers to the collection of Font Software components as
distributed by the Copyright Holder(s).

binary files as long as those fields can be easily viewed by the user.
3) No Modified Version of the Font Software may use the Reserved Font

name: changelog-generator
description: Automatically creates user-facing changelogs from git commits by analyzing commit history, categorizing changes, and transforming technical commits into clear, customer-friendly release notes. Turns hours of manual changelog writing into minutes of automated generation.
---
# Changelog Generator
This skill transforms technical git commits into polished, user-friendly changelogs that your customers and users will actually understand and appreciate.
## When to Use This Skill
- Preparing release notes for a new version
- Creating weekly or monthly product update summaries
- Documenting changes for customers
- Writing changelog entries for app store submissions
- Generating update notifications
- Creating internal release documentation
- Maintaining a public changelog/product updates page
## What This Skill Does
1. **Scans Git History**: Analyzes commits from a specific time period or between versions
2. **Categorizes Changes**: Groups commits into logical categories (features, improvements, bug fixes, breaking changes, security)
3. **Translates Technical → User-Friendly**: Converts developer commits into customer language
4. **Formats Professionally**: Creates clean, structured changelog entries
5. **Filters Noise**: Excludes internal commits (refactoring, tests, etc.)
6. **Follows Best Practices**: Applies changelog guidelines and your brand voice
## How to Use
### Basic Usage
From your project repository:
```
Create a changelog from commits since last release
```
```
Generate changelog for all commits from the past week
```
```
Create release notes for version 2.5.0
```
### With Specific Date Range
```
Create a changelog for all commits between March 1 and March 15
```
### With Custom Guidelines
```
Create a changelog for commits since v2.4.0, using my changelog
guidelines from CHANGELOG_STYLE.md
```
## Example
**User**: "Create a changelog for commits from the past 7 days"
**Output**:
```markdown
# Updates - Week of March 10, 2024
## ✨ New Features
- **Team Workspaces**: Create separate workspaces for different
projects. Invite team members and keep everything organized.
- **Keyboard Shortcuts**: Press ? to see all available shortcuts.
Navigate faster without touching your mouse.
## 🔧 Improvements
- **Faster Sync**: Files now sync 2x faster across devices
- **Better Search**: Search now includes file contents, not just titles
## 🐛 Fixes
- Fixed issue where large images wouldn't upload
- Resolved timezone confusion in scheduled posts
- Corrected notification badge count
```
**Inspired by:** Manik Aggarwal's use case from Lenny's Newsletter
## Tips
- Run from your git repository root
- Specify date ranges for focused changelogs
- Use your CHANGELOG_STYLE.md for consistent formatting
- Review and adjust the generated changelog before publishing
- Save output directly to CHANGELOG.md
## Related Use Cases
- Creating GitHub release notes
- Writing app store update descriptions
- Generating email updates for users
- Creating social media announcement posts

description: Run large codebase migrations and multi-file refactors. Uses the Composio CLI to coordinate issue tracking, batched PRs, and CI verification while the agent executes the transforms locally across hundreds of files.
metadata:
short-description: Codebase migrations + multi-file refactors
---
# Codebase Migrate
Coordinate framework upgrades, API renames, config rewrites, and structural refactors across hundreds of files. Local edits are driven by the agent; the [Composio CLI](https://docs.composio.dev/docs/cli) handles the surrounding ceremony: tracking issues, per-batch PRs, and CI verification.
## When to Use
- Framework upgrade (React 17 → 19, Node 18 → 22, Django 4 → 5).
- API rename across a monorepo (e.g., `getUserById``users.byId`).
- Config/format migration (webpack → vite, eslint → biome, jest → vitest).
- Any "change 200 files the same way" task that needs to ship in reviewable slices.
## Prereqs
```bash
curl -fsSL https://composio.dev/install | bash
composio login
composio link github # for PRs + CI status
composio link linear # or jira — for migration tracking
```
Local tools the agent will use directly: `git`, `rg`, `jscodeshift`/`ts-morph`/`comby`/`ast-grep` (language-appropriate), and your test runner.
## Planning Phase
1. **Define the transform precisely.** Bad: "migrate to vitest." Good: "replace `jest.mock` with `vi.mock`, swap `jest.fn()` for `vi.fn()`, rename `jest.config.js``vitest.config.ts` using template X."
2. **Scope the blast radius:**
```bash
rg -l 'jest\.(mock|fn|spyOn)' | wc -l
rg -l 'from "jest"' | sort
```
3. **File a tracking issue:**
```bash
composio execute LINEAR_CREATE_ISSUE -d '{
"teamId":"TEAM_ID",
"title":"Migrate test runner: jest → vitest",
"description":"Batches of ~25 files. Checkpoint after each PR lands green."
}'
```
## Execute in Reviewable Batches
Loop: pick N files → transform → test → PR → wait for green → merge → next batch.
```bash
# Batch helper: first 25 untouched files matching the pattern
BATCH=$(rg -l 'jest\.mock' | grep -v done.list | head -25)
echo "$BATCH" > batch.list
```
The agent runs the codemod on `batch.list`, then:
```bash
git checkout -b migrate/vitest-batch-03
xargs < batch.list codemod-runner # e.g. jscodeshift / ts-morph / comby
npm test -- --changed
git add -A && git commit -m "migrate(test): jest → vitest (batch 3)"
git push -u origin migrate/vitest-batch-03
composio execute GITHUB_CREATE_A_PULL_REQUEST -d '{
"owner":"acme","repo":"app",
"head":"migrate/vitest-batch-03","base":"main",
"title":"migrate(test): jest → vitest (batch 3)",
"body":"Part of LIN-482. 25 files. Codemod: `transforms/jest-to-vitest.ts`."
}'
```
Then poll CI and merge when green:
```bash
composio execute GITHUB_LIST_WORKFLOW_RUNS_FOR_A_REPOSITORY \
-d '{"owner":"acme","repo":"app","branch":"migrate/vitest-batch-03"}'
```
## Workflow Script
`scripts/migrate-batch.ts`, run per batch via `composio run --file scripts/migrate-batch.ts -- --batch 3`:
```ts
const batch = process.argv[process.argv.indexOf("--batch") + 1];
const pr = await execute("GITHUB_CREATE_A_PULL_REQUEST", {
owner: "acme", repo: "app",
head: `migrate/vitest-batch-${batch}`, base: "main",
title: `migrate(test): jest → vitest (batch ${batch})`,
body: `Part of LIN-482. See transforms/jest-to-vitest.ts.`
});
await execute("LINEAR_CREATE_COMMENT", {
issueId: "LIN-482",
body: `Opened PR #${pr.number}: ${pr.html_url}`
});
```
## Safety Rails
- **One transform per PR.** Never mix a rename with a format change.
- **Keep a `done.list`** of files already migrated so the next batch skips them.
- **Run the full test suite on the last batch**, even if per-batch PRs ran `--changed`.
- **Codemod first, hand-edit second.** If the codemod misses 3 files, patch them manually and note it in the PR body.
- **Roll back per-batch**, not globally. Each PR should revert cleanly.
## Verification Loop
After each merge:
```bash
rg 'jest\.(mock|fn|spyOn)' | wc -l # should trend to 0
npm test # full suite
composio execute GITHUB_LIST_WORKFLOW_RUNS_FOR_A_REPOSITORY \
-d '{"owner":"acme","repo":"app","branch":"main","event":"push"}' \
| jq '.workflow_runs[0].conclusion'
```
## Troubleshooting
- **Codemod regex catches too much** → switch to AST-based tooling (`ast-grep`, `ts-morph`) for structural matches.
- **Tests pass locally, CI fails** → pin Node/Python version parity; check `.nvmrc` / `pyproject.toml`.
- **PR too big to review** → cut batch size in half; maintainers won't review 800-line diffs.
- **Conflicts between batches** → rebase the open batch before merging the current one; never force-push merged batches.

name: competitive-ads-extractor
description: Extracts and analyzes competitors' ads from ad libraries (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) to understand what messaging, problems, and creative approaches are working. Helps inspire and improve your own ad campaigns.
---
# Competitive Ads Extractor
This skill extracts your competitors' ads from ad libraries and analyzes what's working—the problems they're highlighting, use cases they're targeting, and copy/creative that's resonating.
## When to Use This Skill
- Researching competitor ad strategies
- Finding inspiration for your own ads
- Understanding market positioning
- Identifying successful ad patterns
- Analyzing messaging that works
- Discovering new use cases or pain points
- Planning ad campaigns with proven concepts
## What This Skill Does
1. **Extracts Ads**: Scrapes ads from Facebook Ad Library, LinkedIn, etc.
2. **Captures Screenshots**: Saves visual copies of all ads
3. **Analyzes Messaging**: Identifies problems, use cases, and value props
4. **Categorizes Ads**: Groups by theme, audience, or format
5. **Identifies Patterns**: Finds common successful approaches
6. **Provides Insights**: Explains why certain ads likely perform well
## How to Use
### Basic Extraction
```
Extract all current ads from [Competitor Name] on Facebook Ad Library
```
```
Scrape ads from [Company] and analyze their messaging
```
### Specific Analysis
```
Get all ads from [Competitor] focusing on their messaging
about [specific problem]. What pain points are they highlighting?
```
### Competitive Set
```
Extract ads from these 5 competitors: [list].
Compare their approaches and tell me what's working.
```
### Specific Platform
```
Get LinkedIn ads from [Competitor] and analyze their
B2B positioning strategy
```
## Example
**User**: "Extract ads from Notion on Facebook Ad Library and tell me what messaging is working for them."
**Process**:
```
Accessing Facebook Ad Library...
Searching for: Notion
Found: 23 active ads
Extracting screenshots...
[████████████████████] 100%
Saved to: competitor-ads/notion/
- ad-001-collaboration.png
- ad-002-productivity.png
- ad-003-templates.png
...
Analyzing messaging...
```
**Output**:
```
# Notion Ad Analysis
## Overview
- Total Ads: 23 active
- Primary Themes: Productivity (35%), Collaboration (30%),
Templates (20%), AI Features (15%)
- Ad Formats: Static images (60%), Video (40%)
- CTA Patterns: "Try for free", "Get started"
## Key Problems They're Highlighting
1. **Scattered Information** (8 ads)
Copy: "Stop switching between 10 different tools"
Why it works: Direct pain point many teams face
2. **Meeting Overload** (5 ads)
Copy: "Replace unnecessary meetings with async updates"
Why it works: Post-COVID remote work pain point
3. **Lost Documentation** (4 ads)
Copy: "Never ask 'where is that doc?' again"
Why it works: Universal workplace frustration
## Successful Creative Patterns
### Pattern 1: Before/After Split
- Shows chaotic tool landscape → Clean Notion workspace
- Used in 6 high-performing ads
- Visual metaphor is immediately clear
### Pattern 2: Feature Showcase
- GIF of actual product usage
- Shows specific feature in 5 seconds
- Used for new features (AI, templates)
### Pattern 3: Social Proof
- "Join 20M users" messaging
- Customer logos
- Used in 4 ads targeting enterprise
## Copy That's Working
Best Headlines:
1. "Your team's knowledge, finally in one place"
→ Benefit-focused, addresses pain directly
2. "The all-in-one workspace"
→ Clear positioning, broad appeal
3. "AI that actually helps you work"
→ Addresses AI skepticism, practical angle
Best Body Copy Patterns:
- Short sentences (under 10 words)
- Focus on outcomes not features
- Include specific numbers ("Cut meetings by 50%")
## Audience Targeting Insights
Based on ad variations:
- Startup founders: Solo productivity angle
- Team leads: Collaboration and alignment
- Enterprise: Security and compliance mentions
- Students: Free plan, templates, organization
## Recommendations for Your Ads
1. **Test the "tool sprawl" pain point**
→ Strong resonance based on their ad frequency
2. **Use product screenshots over abstract visuals**
→ All their top ads show actual UI
3. **Lead with the problem, not the solution**
→ "Tired of X?" performs better than "Introducing Y"
4. **Keep copy under 100 characters**
→ Their shortest ads seem most frequent
5. **Test before/after visual formats**
→ Proven pattern in their creative
## Files Saved
- All ads: ~/competitor-ads/notion/
- Analysis: ~/competitor-ads/notion/analysis.md
- Best performers: ~/competitor-ads/notion/top-10/
```
**Inspired by:** Sumant Subrahmanya's use case from Lenny's Newsletter

# 21risk Automation via Rube MCP
Automate 21risk operations through Composio's 21risk toolkit via Rube MCP.
**Toolkit docs**: [composio.dev/toolkits/_21risk](https://composio.dev/toolkits/_21risk)
## Prerequisites
- Rube MCP must be connected (RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS available)
- Active 21risk connection via `RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS` with toolkit `_21risk`
- Always call `RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS` first to get current tool schemas
## Setup
**Get Rube MCP**: Add `https://rube.app/mcp` as an MCP server in your client configuration. No API keys needed — just add the endpoint and it works.
1. Verify Rube MCP is available by confirming `RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS` responds
2. Call `RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS` with toolkit `_21risk`
3. If connection is not ACTIVE, follow the returned auth link to complete setup
4. Confirm connection status shows ACTIVE before running any workflows
## Tool Discovery
Always discover available tools before executing workflows:
```
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "21risk operations", known_fields: ""}]
session: {generate_id: true}
```
This returns available tool slugs, input schemas, recommended execution plans, and known pitfalls.
## Core Workflow Pattern
### Step 1: Discover Available Tools
```
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "your specific 21risk task"}]
session: {id: "existing_session_id"}
```
### Step 2: Check Connection
```
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS
toolkits: ["_21risk"]
session_id: "your_session_id"
```
### Step 3: Execute Tools
```
RUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL
tools: [{
tool_slug: "TOOL_SLUG_FROM_SEARCH",
arguments: {/* schema-compliant args from search results */}
}]
memory: {}
session_id: "your_session_id"
```
## Known Pitfalls
- **Always search first**: Tool schemas change. Never hardcode tool slugs or arguments without calling `RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS`
- **Check connection**: Verify `RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS` shows ACTIVE status before executing tools
- **Schema compliance**: Use exact field names and types from the search results
- **Memory parameter**: Always include `memory` in `RUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL` calls, even if empty (`{}`)
- **Session reuse**: Reuse session IDs within a workflow. Generate new ones for new workflows
- **Pagination**: Check responses for pagination tokens and continue fetching until complete
## Quick Reference

# Ably Automation via Rube MCP
Automate Ably operations through Composio's Ably toolkit via Rube MCP.
**Toolkit docs**: [composio.dev/toolkits/ably](https://composio.dev/toolkits/ably)
## Prerequisites
- Rube MCP must be connected (RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS available)
- Active Ably connection via `RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS` with toolkit `ably`
- Always call `RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS` first to get current tool schemas
## Setup
**Get Rube MCP**: Add `https://rube.app/mcp` as an MCP server in your client configuration. No API keys needed — just add the endpoint and it works.
1. Verify Rube MCP is available by confirming `RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS` responds
2. Call `RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS` with toolkit `ably`
3. If connection is not ACTIVE, follow the returned auth link to complete setup
4. Confirm connection status shows ACTIVE before running any workflows
## Tool Discovery
Always discover available tools before executing workflows:
```
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "Ably operations", known_fields: ""}]
session: {generate_id: true}
```
This returns available tool slugs, input schemas, recommended execution plans, and known pitfalls.
## Core Workflow Pattern
### Step 1: Discover Available Tools
```
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "your specific Ably task"}]
session: {id: "existing_session_id"}
```
### Step 2: Check Connection
```
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS
toolkits: ["ably"]
session_id: "your_session_id"
```
### Step 3: Execute Tools
```
RUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL
tools: [{
tool_slug: "TOOL_SLUG_FROM_SEARCH",
arguments: {/* schema-compliant args from search results */}
}]
memory: {}
session_id: "your_session_id"
```
| Operation | Approach |
|-----------|----------|
| Find tools | `RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS` with Ably-specific use case |
| Connect | `RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS` with toolkit `ably` |
| Execute | `RUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL` with discovered tool slugs |
| Bulk ops | `RUBE_REMOTE_WORKBENCH` with `run_composio_tool()` |
| Full schema | `RUBE_GET_TOOL_SCHEMAS` for tools with `schemaRef` |

3. If connection is not ACTIVE, follow the returned auth link to complete setup
4. Confirm connection status shows ACTIVE before running any workflows
## Tool Discovery
Always discover available tools before executing workflows:
```
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "Abstract operations", known_fields: ""}]
session: {generate_id: true}
```
This returns available tool slugs, input schemas, recommended execution plans, and known pitfalls.
## Core Workflow Pattern
### Step 1: Discover Available Tools
```
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "your specific Abstract task"}]
session: {id: "existing_session_id"}
```
### Step 2: Check Connection
```
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS
toolkits: ["abstract"]
session_id: "your_session_id"
```
### Step 3: Execute Tools
```
RUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL
tools: [{
tool_slug: "TOOL_SLUG_FROM_SEARCH",
arguments: {/* schema-compliant args from search results */}
}]
memory: {}
session_id: "your_session_id"
```

# Abuselpdb Automation via Rube MCP
Automate Abuselpdb operations through Composio's Abuselpdb toolkit via Rube MCP.
**Toolkit docs**: [composio.dev/toolkits/abuselpdb](https://composio.dev/toolkits/abuselpdb)
## Prerequisites
- Rube MCP must be connected (RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS available)
- Active Abuselpdb connection via `RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS` with toolkit `abuselpdb`
2. Call `RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS` with toolkit `abuselpdb`
3. If connection is not ACTIVE, follow the returned auth link to complete setup
